Diagnosis
Chytriodinium like parasite, from Pacific Ocean, infecting Euphausia pacifica eggs, average length: 86 µm, n=3.
This ectoparasitoid was attached to the chorion showing an incipient holdfast organelle (HFO) that goes through the perivitelline space as an anchorage to the embryo. This parasitoid divides using palintomic sporogenic divisions beneath the initial envelope of the trophont.
