Diagnosis_Species: Staphylocystis racemosus Coutière 1911. Ectoparasites of pelagic crustaceans. The parasite is attached to its host by a short and thin peduncle which is inserted inside the host tegument. A pigmented ring is observed at the basis of the peduncle, and has 1 mm long. Externaly, the parasite is ramified into about 50 tubes, which separated at their apex into 1 to 8 articles that are partitionated from the rest and can detach. The maximal size of the tube is 4 mm.
