Diagnosis
Verrill diagnosis : Corallum incrusting, varying in form according to the object which it grows, at tiles glomerate, massive and gibbous, with short angular or convoluted erests rising from the surface. These somestimes become more elevated, with an acute edge or by incrusting the tubes of Serpulae, rise into irregular ramose forms. Septa from twelve to sixteen, the primary ones thickened strongly granulated. CElls rather samll, open ; columella small, papilliform, often wanting
