Diagnosis

Colonies forming soft spreading membranes from which the polyps arise. Polyps not retractile, monomorphic. Colour of colonies white, gray, brown. Sclerites are flattened rods, about 3-8 times as long as broad. Zooxanthellae present.

Ecology

Shallow lagoon and back reef, in places with strong currents.
